UVMC Strings-in School

All Strings-in-School and Winds-in-School programs are offered in cooperation with local school systems. Registration forms are available through the participating school or on our website. Instrumental demonstrations will take place at the schools. For more information contact the UVMC directly.

Strings-in-School (SnS)/in-School (WnS) Program Description:

Group lessons for beginner to intermediate students in grades 2-6 on string instruments - violin, viola, cello;
grades 4-6 on woodwind - flute, clarinet; brass - trumpet, trombone; and percussion - snare drum, mallet instrument.
Minimum average class size is 7. Register based on student’s level of experience (beginner/intermediate)

Tuition (does not include instrument):

15 lessons - 30-minutes weekly - $150 / 15 lessons - 45-minutes weekly - $195

In an attempt to streamline administrative work UVMC has changed from three terms to two semesters. (See more pricing info on registration)
