UVMC Community Orchestra

The UVMC Orchestra invites amateur, semi professional and advanced youth musicians and to play challenging orchestral literature in a supportive atmosphere with people from all walks of life--attorneys, students, teachers, doctors, scientists, retirees, homemakers, etc. Members share their love of music and dedication to their instruments. Many have been serious students of their instruments in the past, having played in high school bands and orchestras, and some continue to develop their skills through private study.

Offered during the Fall, Winter, and Spring, the Orchestra is open to players of strings, winds, brass, and percussion. All ages are welcome; no audition is required; some ensemble experience is desirable.

Music is chosen from the standard repertoire by Tom Bourgault, our expert conductor, in consultation with the players; parts are  distributed at rehearsals or in advance for those who request them.

Rehearsals take place at our studio in Lebanon, 4:30-6:30 p.m. on Sunday afternoons. To receive regular e-mail announcements of scheduled meetings, phone or e-mail Jan at the office and ask to be included in the Orchestra mail list.
